What is the Ska Rating?

The Ska Rating is a method for benchmarking the environmental performance of an office fit-out. It aims to improve the environmental outcomes related to office fit-out. Anybody interested in fitting out an office building in a more environmentally sustainable way can use the method to:

• Identify good practice criteria and related implementation measures;
• obtain simple guidance on implementation measures with references to further sources of information;
• Carry out an informal self-assessment of the environmental performance of their fit-out;
• Carry out a formal assessment and receive a certificate including an official environmental performance rating.
